Zoning is common sense

Why not control your heating and cooling just like your lights?  Homes and offices already have zoned lighting; there isn’t one switch that turns all the lights on and off for the whole house.  Clearly, 75% of monthly utility bill is for heating and cooling; the other 25% for electrical lights and appliances.  There is generally good control for lighting with individual switches, timers, or motion detectors are used in the home.  Why continue letting a single thermostat bring on the heating and cooling for the whole house.

Zoning is convenience
